We are pleased to welcome our newest Intern Architects to the firm, Yiming Wei and Leah Brave Solomon, both pursuing majors in Architecture at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.  Yiming and Leah join BFA+D at an exciting and busy time as one of our signature projects, the La Fonda on the Plaza hotel renovation is under construction and other newer projects are in development. As they become involved with projects and other community outreach initiatives, we embrace their expertise and creativity and are looking forward to offering professional development and training in those aspects of Architecture that interest them and that drew them to Santa Fe.  We are also anxious to offer opportunities for Yiming and Leah to experience various aspects of New Mexico’s rich history and culture.

Yiming is currently studying at Northeastern University pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture.  He is especially interested in exploring and studying different styles, disciplines and sustainable strategies of architecture.  The unique architectural style of the Southwest and the rich culture of this region drew him to Santa F, and he believes this experience will enrich his knowledge of the field of architecture.

Leah is a third year student at Northeastern University where she is pursuing a major in Architecture with a minor in Theater.  This being her first of two required Co-ops, Leah is excited to learn about the mechanics of a firm while developing her own skills while experiencing as much of the Santa Fe aesthetic and culture as she can.

BFA+D enjoys its relationship with the School of Architecture at Northeastern University.  Since 2010, we have had the privilege of hosting six Architecture students form Northeastern, one from the University of Cincinnati and a graduating senior from Santa Fe Indian School.
